Our journey began five years ago during the COVID-19 pandemic when we met a family struggling to care for their 10-year-old child with autism. Witnessing their challenges profoundly impacted us, especially my wife, who felt a deep sense of empathy and concern.

During the pandemic, working from home allowed us to reflect on these issues extensively. Our discussions revealed a shared desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special needs. Motivated by this, my wife pursued a degree in Special Education, dedicating herself to understanding autism and the necessary support for these children. After two years of rigorous study, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree and began working as a special educator.

Her classroom experience underscored the importance of baseline training for effective learning and the challenge of providing individualized attention to each child. Recognizing the need for a broader impact, I decided to support her vision fully, resigning from my corporate job to focus on this mission.

We connected with like-minded individuals and established the Mitra Foundation. Through this trust, we founded Cocoon, a skill development center aimed at offering tailored support and training for children with special needs.

At Cocoon, our mission is to develop and implement programs that provide individualized support, helping each child reach their full potential. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive, backed by a dedicated team focused on making a lasting positive impact. Through Cocoon, we strive to empower children and their families, fostering a more inclusive and supportive community.
